Franck

Subject: The Website of ELSA France
Dear Guilaume, Dear Franck,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the new Website of ELSA France, introduced just before the ICM in Vilnius in March. You have created a very useful tool for your Members and for other ELSA Groups to access information from.
Furthermore, in compliance with my responsibilities as the Vice President Marketing ELSA International, I would like to remind you of the Uniformity rules set up in the Marketing part of the Decision Book and the ELSA Identity Handbook. The Uniformity rules were created to ensure a uniform image of ELSA and it is essential for the International, National and Local ELSA Groups to respect the rules in order to acquire proper marketing and promotion of the Association.
The Uniformity rules strictly prescribe that only the ELSA logo with subtitle can be used on ELSA’s Websites. Currently, ELSA France is using the ELSA logo without subtitle on its Website. Furthermore, the design of the logo cannot be altered in any way. This means that it is not allowed to place, for instance, a shadow behind the logo or use the logo in connection with any state or national symbols of any country, or as in this case, with the symbols of the European Union. In addition, the name of the Local, National and International ELSA Group can only be used when the ELSA logo with the subtitle is featured and should be placed under the logo, perfectly centred and in capital letter, with the font Times New Roman.
Consequently, I would kindly ask you to correct the ELSA logo on the Website of ELSA France in order to comply with the Internal Uniformity Regulations of ELSA International. I would also like to ask you to thoroughly examine the Uniformity rules in the Marketing part of the Decision Book and in the ELSA Identity Handbook, in order to ensure that the Website of ELSA France is not in breach of any additional Uniformity rules set up by the Council of ELSA. You may find the Decision Book of ELSA International and the ELSA Identity Handbook in the ELSA ONLINE Archive or through the following links:

Thank you for your co-operation and have a very nice day.
Kind regards from Brussels,
Maria Litzell
